Senior Software Engineer for Computer Vision

About the job:

A rare opportunity exists for a Senior Software Engineer in the Budapest office of a US based telecommunications company. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced software models for computer vision. The focus of the role is analytical problem solving, feature design and delivery that leads to customer satisfaction. Due to the multi-platform nature of the development, module integration and protocol design is also part of the job. You will work closely with project management, engineering management, architects, QA and fellow developers as part of a cross-functional agile team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• implementing software modules for computer vision in high quality and according to industry best practices
• working on features end to end with a minimum guidance from specification through design to implementation
• driving software integration for multiple platforms, closely working with team members or external stakeholders
• measuring the performance of video analytics features, designing and implementing improvements
• writing and updating the relevant documentation
• working in an agile cross-functional team

You’ll need to have:

• quality oriented and „can-do” attitude to work
• relevant university degree
• 5+ years of experience
• advanced knowledge in a relevant language like C++/Python
• advanced object oriented design and programming skills, knowledge of design patterns
• excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• advanced level English (both written and verbal)
• knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization

Even better if you have:

• MSc level degree in relevant field
• knowledge in computer vision methods and algorithms
• experience in agile development methodologies
• experience in embedded system development
• user level Linux skills and/or scripting experience
• experience in development for macOS
• experience with AWS/Azure technologies
• experience with helm
